7 Ideas for Celebrating Father's Day

As Father's Day comes, you may be wondering how you can honour your father, especially if you can't get everyone together in person or aren't ready to bring everyone inside just yet. With all of the virtual birthday parades and virtual happy hours going on, the last year has given us all a little practise when it comes to socially distant gatherings, and you can apply some of that remote revelry know-how to this year's Father's Day celebrations, too. Choose a hobby or game that everyone enjoys and one you can easily play over Zoom for easy together-apart pleasure.

There are also a plethora of entertaining ideas for entertaining everyone outside. If you live close enough to drive to dad, try planning a surprise tailgate or a family barbecue to honour him. You can also organise an activity that is both fun and beneficial, such as working together on a gardening project. While any Father's Day gift you offer him will be appreciated, odds are he will value the gift of your time the most.

Host Wine Tasting Online

Send your father a lovely bottle of wine as well as a gift basket filled with tasty cookies if he enjoys wine. Order the same bottle for yourself, and then share a sampling via FaceTime. Sign you and your father up for a wine tasting membership and schedule frequent virtual tastings together after Father's Day.

Take him on a shopping spree at his preferred store:

If your father still refuses to go out in public, take him on a virtual tour of his favourite home improvement store, whether it's Lowe's, Home Depot, or the neighbourhood hardware store. As you walk him along his favourite aisles, let him choose a gift or two.

Play Bingo or Chess:

What's a family without some friendly rivalry? A collection of vintage-inspired Bingo games is a one-of-a-kind present. Even better, send them to your parents and siblings ahead of time so that you may all play Bingo or chess together on Zoom.

Plan a Barbecue in the Backyard:

Give your father the greatest ribs he's ever had. A delicious Cheerwine soda gives these baby back ribs their sweet fire. Serve them on a customised cutting board that may also be used as a present for dad. Don't forget to get him a grill master apron for when he's on duty at the grill.

Virtual Laughter Therapy Session:

Everyone starts rolling and gets in touch with others in the group during most Laughter Yoga exercises. When doing laughter exercises, most people focus on enjoyment rather than force. Laughter Therapy routines aim to promote youthful playfulness during the session.
